Description

Smithtown Municipal Services Facility is a closed public landfill located in Kings Park, Suffolk, New York. It has been in operation since 1979. The facility is projected to close in 1997. The facility is operated by Town of Smithtown, NY. As of 2012, the facility holds approximately 1,700,000 tons of waste in place.
