Kinsley’s LF

Kinsleys LF is a closed private landfill located in Sewell, Gloucester. It has been in operation since 1960. The facility is projected to close in 1987. The facility is operated by United Environmental Services, Inc. and owned by Kinsley”s. As of 2012, the facility holds approximately 7,259,985 tons of waste in place. The site covers approximately 122 acres. The facility operates a landfill gas collection system, and has an shutdown landfill gas-to-energy project. The project uses Reciprocating Engine technology. Capturing landfill gas reduces greenhouse gas emissions and, in many cases, generates clean renewable energy. Kinsleys LF also offers composting services.
